Major William Horton Chapter

Organized January 18, 1935, the chapter has members largely from Macon-Bibb and the surrounding area.  Meetings are held at 10 a.m. on the 4th Thursday of the month in January, March, May,  and October. The chapter is named for a colonist who arrived in 1735/36 with John and Charles Wesley and became Commander-in-Chief of the military when Oglethorpe returned to England in 1743.
