General Richard Montgomery Chapter

Organized April 13, 1964, the chapter has members largely from Ailey and the surrounding counties.  Meetings are held each quarter on the 2nd Wednesday of the month in January, February, May, and October. The chapter is named for a veteran of the French and Indian Wars at Ticonderoga, Montreal, Martinique and Havana, and also fought in the Revolutionary cause commanding an expedition to Canada, giving his life at the Siege of Quebec.
